Noted director T.K. Rajeev Kumar's upcoming Nithya Menen starrer Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty, being produced under the banner of Reel 2 Reel Cine Productions, is almost complete. The film is being shot in digital format by Vinod Illampilly using a F3 camera. Notably, the film was written keeping Mohanlal as the male protagonist, but the story was later changed, giving importance to a female character played by Nithya Menen. http://gallery.bizhat.com/data/4416/...te_still_3.jpg Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty is said to be the Malayalam version of Jim Carrey's The Truman Show, which revolves around a man who becomes a part of a reality television show. "Nithya plays a village girl who is chosen from among 12 others for a unique reality show that would broadcast her everyday life for a month," the director said. Unni Mukundan plays the lead role along with Nithya Menen. Others in the cast are Shweta Menon, Siddique, Baburaj, Suraaj Venjaranmoodu, Maniyanpilla Raju and Tini Tom. Sharath is composing the music.
