Anushka Sharma not a con woman

Anushka Sharma who is all geared up to play a con woman in her film, Ladies vs Ricky Behl, doesn’t feel close to her role.

She confesses, “I have done things like lying to my parents, bunking college, but I’ve never conned anyone.”

What made her chose this film with the YRF camp again. Was it to win another set of awards or to work with Ranveer Singh again?

“I wasn’t thinking of awards during Band Baaja Baaraat and nor am I now. It’s always about how the audience reacts to a film,” she says. As for working with Ranveer, “We share a mutual respect for each other and it’s the same kind of energy that we shared in our first film.”

“There are three other ladies in the film. Dipannita Sharma used to be a senior model and encourage me during my modelling days. She is stunning and beautiful and I used to look up to her. Parineeti (Priyanka Chopra’s cousin) used to work for YRF’s marketing team and I know her since my first film. I used to tell her that she should act as she had the potential,” she says adding that all the girls are very close to the characters that they play.

The actor who has so far been seen in happy-go-lucky roles, will be seen again in Vishal Bharadwaj’s comedy, Matru ki Bijli ka Mandola; in which the leggy lass plays Bijli opposite Imran Khan. The third character, Bijli’s father Mandola, is rumoured to be played by Pankaj Kapur.
