I'm agree with techno230. I think that Frotpage has also two disadvantages :
1. It has brining to life by dint of Microsoft which is EEeevillll
2. The frontpage is creating page designed for IE which is also Eviill ( I've tested only ver 2000 and below but i think that now also it isdesigning for it ).
Dreamweaver is much better than frontpage however dreamweaver use up a lot of memory. hope dramweaver next version can improve it
Im a user of Frontpage.........
I ve faced Dreamweaver once.. but thought it too complicated....
anyway, wud try it later..
i don't like frontpage since frontpage may put some code on your page which only work in IE. also the file size of the page will be larger if it is made by frontpage
FrontPage Rulesss.....Flash too hehhehe
What FrontPage? What DreamWeaver? NOTEPAD Rulez!!! At least does not add 100kb of junk to your site!
Dreamweaver
the best

u are right
but so much man didn't...
i prefer typing codes in notepad. it is a lot easier interms of controlling those tags.
some of the software like frontpage introduces a lot of tag which sometime make things look so complicated...anyway, it is really your preference...
Dreamweaver is better since it has unique GUI and easier to work with. For beginners,Frontpage is the starting for them.Im downloading NVU now..never tried it before:D
i use more PS with dreamweaver, then front page....
i stop using frontpage after i tried and learn dreamweaver...
codes are much cleaner if i use dreamweaver... no added codes
I prefer by far Dreamweaver because its much easier and graphical.

Dreamweaver comlicated? Personally I will say is the most user friendy editor I encountered, but, who knows, every one has a reason for using its own preferred editor.
I think that Dream Weaver give us more choices of designing
It also has some certain languages which cannot be found in Front Page
I agree with youQuote:

There are a lot of pros and cons. Since both programs comes from different companies. Microsoft and Macromedia.
Frontpage mostly caters to the family type. Most for creating sites of their own families. Or sites that are of small business. While Dreamweaver caters to more extensive sites. More commericalise sites.
It is true that the Dreamweaver is more complicated than the Frontpage. But there are also some things that one doesn't have, while the other have; and vice versa. For example, Dreamweaver are able to create image rollovers. While Frontpage doesn't have. You got to do a search on the HTML codes for image rollovers. And vice versa, Frontpage have a plugin for maquree; scrolling text. and even a media player plugin.
And there is also an improvement for Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver have floating dialogs. And after the improvements of Dreamweaver MX, everything are stick to one window. And another bonus was Dreamweaver are able to make the changes that you wanted to. For example the pictures. You placed a image that was supposed to be wrong. And you change to the corrected image. The image also applies to the other .html files. More suitable for menu links.
Actually there are more than this. Don't want to flood this topic. Since there is already 4 pages.
Dreamweaver is driving me insane. I've not progressed much with Dreamweaver since last month till now..and my assignment is due TMR.
ARGHHH!!!!
Personaly both of them have there good and bad points I use them both if I have to but I prefer to code a site from notepad unless im in a hurry and its just a small page then I use FrontPage.
Both progran help you build your web. I started with the basic using note pad. There, i developed my site. But with the help of dreamweaver, I made my site even better so I vote for dreamweaver. ^^ This program has lots of cool tools for easy use.
Man!This Dreamweaver and Frontpage Stinks!.Use Microsof Expression Web Designer Instead!
Dreamweaver is a hell lot better than Frontpage.
the only thing i may not like about dreamweaver mx is the added stuff at the top of your code , but other than that the interface is butter compared to frontpage. i feel like im in the stoneages when i use frontpage to do anything.
The only thing i dont like about either of them is the price :(
dreamweaver is deffinately better then frontpage if u use adobe programms like fireworks, coldfusion, illustrator and flash, because u can compare the programms and make awesome sites.

Frontpage is well enough for the new comers in web designing while Macromedia Dreamweaver is very good and advanced software. But personally i like frontpage as i am master in it and know not very much about dreamweaver :)
po tay tui ko biet gi het aaa
ei biet thi noi dighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhh
I am currently using Dreamweaver because it is easier to use I think. Maybe I should switch to Frontpage though. At college we mostly use DW. Why is Frontpage easier?
now im 13 and i have allredy mad a site usying notepad but them my friend told me about dream so i now use that
I like neither of them.. they both suck and confuse me more. I like to use worpad for my web designing and coding.
First create the whole layout with Photoshop, Slice them, export them and finally edit the html with Wordpad/Notepad. Maybe add php to them later on ;)
for newbie you can start with frontpage but if you want flexibility on your site i recommend dreamwever.
I agree... Coz FrontPage is more easier to use than DreamWeaver... :DQuote:

More features and less coding errors. Frontpage does have the advantage of an incredibly easy work environment, excellent for making quick websites.
I agree with you.Quote:
