Front Page? Dreamweaver? or another?
Hand Coding.
www.EditPlus.com
For creating web pages, its a good text editor.
Dreamweaver for making entire sites at a time, but making corrections or updates, I normally open them in notepad and update/fix by hand.
normally, coding by hand with ultraedit.
for special things i use dreamweaver!
Created a poll.
Everyone take the poll on web page creation software :-)
i use Textpad and the a build-in text editor within CuteFTP
i think all the text editor was an ok editor as long as you don't have more than 2 tables looped into each other
all i need is the little brack jcreator has
http://darkmag.net/darkBlog/images/JCreator.gif
hope text-pad could just add that bar-bracket[/img]
i'm using photoshop and then convert it to dreamweaver... to edit it, i'm prefer hand coding
I use FrontPage 2000 to create it and then hand edit the HTML where needed.
Shannon
I have both frontpage 2003 and dreamweaver 2004, and i prefer Frontpage, this version 2003 is very good i recomend you test and post here what do you think about.
yea
i love the frontpage 2k3 about the auto ending tag things
like if you type <tr> it auto-writes </tr>
those who wanted a free web design tool.. why not try free AceHTML...
it is a good tool.
I'm also using hand coding, it's just boring at the start of a project. Then it's mostly copy and paste
I use the HTML kit, by Chami. It supports, php, ssi, xhtml, dhtml, java, flash, and more. FOR FREE
my html isn't the best, but when i do html, i like to use kwrite, it has nice syntax highlighting, in fact i use it for all of my coding
will try that out on my old linux
but is there any editor that supports codefolding in window?
and i meant for html codefolding
i would like to use dreamweaver at first....

I hate software you have to pay for, espacially when it produces html code that does not validate. I use only freeware PSpad for my (x)html and javascript and TopStyle Lite for Cascading Style Sheets.
I used to all Adobe Products... and for HTML I'm usin PhotoshopCS for graphics and GoLive for HTML code... 8)

WUSIWUG
What You See Is What You Get
who said that hand encoding it is the best way to create proffetional web-sites??? All professional using Macromedia DreamViewer! Delete other programs and use only this program!
DreamWeaver is the best WYSIWYG HTML editor. Clean code compared to FrontPage if you know how to use it.
Big sites have there own technology. I don't think big sites like Yahoo, AOL use DW or FP for creating web pages. Most have there own custom CMS. Also i belive it will be very difficult to manage big web sites with DreamWeaver or FrontPage.
If you know how configure it, you can manage CMS.
I'm managing) But on my localhost. After testing I upolad it and wathing)
I use Netscape Composer to create my HTML pages for the web. It can be tricky at times to use, since sometimes I need to write in a code or some text through the source page option, but it's a pretty good program overall, and I recommend it very much for putting webpages together. :)
Is dremweaver share ware?
