This freebie might not be the speediest ripper on the scene, but its unexpected extras give it a boost. Free CD to MP3 Converter can rip tracks in the format found in its name in addition to OGG and WAV files. If you opt for MP3, you may wait around longer than you'd like, as the program first extracts songs to temporary WAV files before converting them to the compressed codec. In our tests, the application had no trouble obtaining track information from the Internet. As you might expect, the program lets you set the bit rate and use VBR compression, but the ability to normalize tracks is a welcome surprise. Ditto for the audio-conversion and recording tools, which are quite basic but still work just fine. Note that when converting files to MP3 or WAV formats, you won't actually see them show up in a queue, though you can still process tunes in batch mode. Description
Here is Rosoft Engineering's latest program in the Audio Tools series. This program is also included Rosoft Audio Tools and forward. It is also available as a stand-alone version. You can encode fast speed, normal speed, and high quality. You can set the bitrate up to 320 kbps. You can chose to use VBR or non-VBR, but note that some hard ware (DVD, CD, MP3 Player etc.) cannot read VBR. For example some DVD players can only read CBR. Fast Mode encodes faster but doesn't give good quality sound while High Quality mode takes more time but . High Mode gives the best sound and takes longer time to encode. Fast Mode encodes fast at the cost of the quality. Normal is some where in the middle between Fast mode and High Quality mode.
This program uses Rosoft MP3 Encoder Plug-In to create mp3 files.
The Shareware and Sponsored editions comes with a demo version of our our Rosoft MP3 Encoder Plug-In that includes
