1. Double Click in "My Computer choose Tools > Folder Options… " then Click Tab " View"
2. tick " Do not cache thumbnails "
3. in" Hidden files and folders" Click " Show hidden files and folders "Click OK
4. del Thumbs.db by Click "Start > Search > for Files or Folders.."
5. Click" All file and folders" Type " Thumbs.db " in "All or part of the name:" Click Search
6.Now You can Delete for Thumbs.db file
Free-up some more disk space
Windows XP uses a file called hiperfil.sys to save everything it needs when Windows XP goes into hibernation. If you are like me, and never use the hibernate function, you can turn it off. By turning hibernate off, Windows XP deletes the hiberfil.sys. This can free up the as much disk space as the amount of ram that you computer has.
Go to Control Panel/Power Options/Hibernation and untick the box. It's as easy as that. Now you will have plenty more disk space to install those mega programs!
No more low disk space messages
go into registry with REGEDIT.EXE, go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer\
and (if not already there) add DWORD (without quotes) "NoLowDiskSpaceChecks" and change the value to 1. Restart.
Automate Disk Cleanup
Cleanmgr.exe is designed to clear unnecessary files from your computer's hard disk. You can use command-line options to specify that Cleanmgr.exe cleans up certain files. You can then schedule the task to run at a specific time by using the Scheduled Tasks tool.
To start the Disk Cleanup tool, either run the Cleanmgr.exe command, or click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.
Disk Cleanup supports the following command-line options:
/d driveletter: - This option specifies the drive that you want Disk Cleanup to clean.
/sageset: n - This option displays the Disk Cleanup Settings dialog box and also creates a registry key to store the settings that you select. The n value, which is stored in the registry, allows you to specify tasks for Disk Cleanup to run. The n value can be any integer value from 0 to 65535. To have all of the options available when you use the /sageset option, you might need to specify the drive where Windows is installed.
/sagerun: n - This option runs the specified tasks that are assigned to the n value if you use the \sageset option.
For example, in Scheduled Tasks, you could run the following command after you run the cleanmgr /sageset:11 command:
cleanmgr /sagerun:11
This command runs Disk Cleanup and includes the options that you specified with the cleanmgr /sageset:11 command.
Disable Recent Documents History
Normally when you open or access a document or file it is added to the list of recent documents on the Start Menu. This tweak will stop files from being added to the list.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'NoRecentDocsHistory' set the value to equal '1' to enable the restriction.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart for the changes to take effect.

Clean your prefetch to improve performance.
This is an unique technique for WinXP. We know that it is necessary to wash registry and TEMP files for Win9X/ME/2000 periodly. Prefetch is a new and very useful technique in Windows XP. However, after using XP some time, the prefetch folder can get full of rarely used or obsolete links which can slow down your computer noticeably. My suggestion is: open C(system drive):/windows/prefetch, delete all files (or at least those more than 3 weeks old), reboot. I recommended that you do this every month.

no need waste time at all for searching good cleaner from large lists. just use this great cleaner. i clean my computer manually after long time, searching in every directories all the files i dont need and delete them when i sure it is safe. it takes times to do it. be very careful of deleting what not sure of, better leave it alone or may damage the system. especially the registries. with ccleaner i use it everyday, just run and exit. take 1 minute?! also i use reg supreme pro for cleaning registries too.
