Out of 125 km of coastline the beaches of Goa cover not less than 83 km. There are 40 lovely beaches in Goa Arambol beach is situated about 50kms from Panaji and it famous for its rocky and sandy terrain. The village of Arambol is a traditional fishing village. The beach is a stunning stretch of curving sand which still is unpolluted.
Attraction of Arambol Beach
The main attraction of Arambol beach is the relaxed, peaceful and tranquil environment . The villagers are friendly and the place is less crowded compared to other beaches. One can roam around freely and undisturbed to experience the life and culture. There are miles long uninterrupted beaches with well-made track running around. The second beach is even more secluded and little used. There are sulphur pits and freshwater lakes that you can use for swimming. There are shacks offering souvenirs and clothes. At one end of Arambol runs the Tiracol River and beyond the river rises the Tiracol Fort, now an interesting little hotel.

Arambol Beach has a freshwater lake by the shoreline that can be used for swimming. There paying guest accommodation available in and around Arambol beach. As one of Goa's isolated beaches, Arambol has few restaurants. Many buses that regularly ply between Arambol and Mapusa and Arambol and Chopdem. It takes around 40 minutes to reach Arambol from Chopdem for a distance of 12 km. On market days you can take boats to Anjuna. Taxis or bikes that is easily available for moving within the village and locally at reasonable rates.
