Lindsay Lohan, who sent Twitter into a frenzy after tweeting about her pregnancy on Tuesday morning, has admitted that it was supposed to be an April Fools joke.

She tweeted the lame prank to six million followers before confessing it was all for a laugh, the Mirror reported.
"Where's everyone's sense of humour?" she tweeted.
The controversial actress has been tangled up in a legal battle with a judge over a string of offences and it's reported she faces either a stint in rehab or time behind bars.

Within two hours of posting the message it had been shared more than 10,000 times.
The 26-year-old actress is staying in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where it was still April 1st when publishing the post.
