Counselling for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses began today at the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences campus. University vice chancellor I V Rao handed over the first admission card to Y Ganesh who ranked 18th in the Engineering, Medical and Agricultural Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) ranker.

Counselling, which is simultaneously on at four centres namely Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Hyderabad, will continue until July 29. Candidates who received rank cards will be counselled at any one of these centres as per their choice. Most candidates who scored higher ranks prefer joining Osmania University of Hyderabad due to its better faculty and infrastructure.
