Default Newbie -- Basic Setup Help

    Hello,

My first post and here goes....

I recently decided to create a website solely for my local Fantasy Football League. Specifically, I wanted to create discussion forums for all of the members.

Because there's about 15 of us, I couldn't justify paying for some big website. Enter BizHat.com.... :D

I plan on using a forum template from http://www.phpbb.com/index.php. However, after activating my BizHat account and uploading all of my files per PhPBB's install guide, http://www.phpbb.com/support/documents.php?mode=install, I cannot "edit" anyting in Section 1 Step 5.

Instead of having some type of interface as described, I get a notepad type screen.

Does anyone know what's going on? Sorry to be a bother

    Thanks!

I think it is because the PHP is disabled by default on all accounts. You need to have 5 (or 20 - it's not clear) posts in this forum and request the PHP in the "PHP Request" post (on top of the topics list)
    Hope this helps!

Check this post in the "PHP Request" subject which says:

Anyone with 5 non SPAM posts can post in this thread to get PHP support.

Post your web site URL along with description of PHP script you are running.

IMPORTANT: if you send email through the server, you should include your web site address in the email. Any bounced email with out this URL will be considered as SPAM.
    That means 5 posts ;)

    Hmm...

I guess that's it. However, I was under the assumption that PHP was activated by default and that "Support" referred to Technical support. Make sense?

Hopefully it's just 5 posts because I am eager to learn.

    Thanks for your help! :D

Look at the "FAQ to just registered members":
    29. Where is my PHP???

PHP is only for users which have 20 NON SPAM posts. After user must post request at
    http://forums.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=4236 for activate PHP.
But as you said, it is 5 posts.

it is very easy, I can blow 20 posts in one sitting if I had to, but yes, the actual rle is that you need to have at least 20 posts before requesting PHP support.
