You are quite right. You can plan, but reality may not help you.

As India is a population of 1 Billion + and much of its population lives in dire poverty, should population control be a fundamental agenda item for the government health bodies? Would a smaller population mean better resources for India's peoples?

The worlds population is ever expanding with less resources to go round. What does the future hold. Scientists estimate that the population will plateau at 20 billion - what will be the state of the Earth when the population reaches this point? We are already having wars over oil, future wars are going to be over water resources and other resources too.

What scientific say might be right; but unfortunately there is a lot of speculation on various goods. And that is the real problem. That means also that the speculators are dividing the world into two populations: the rich who can afford buying those goods and the poors. If you look closely, the middle-class is disappearing more or less slowly.
    But do not despair

Social class is definitely an issue in every nation. No one has it really figured out where the poor are truly taken care of and the rich arent so abundantly rich that they are above the law. Who knows how this can be accomplished.

There is a proverb that says: it is better to be rich than poor, and better to be healthy than ill.
This is the answer to all
    Cheers
