NEW DELHI: Come December and Harry Potterfans can look forward to he Tales of Beedle the Bard a collection of wizardry and fairy tales by J.K. Rowling.
The Children's High Level Group (CHLG), the English charity co-founded by Rowling and Emma Nicholson will publish the book, which has stories connected to the popular hero and his school of magic Hogwarts.
The book is an anthology of five short stories - created, handwritten and illustrated by Rowling. They are The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, The tale of the three Brothers, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump, said a release issued by the London-based Children's High Level Group.
Rowling said she was delighted to announce the publication of the book because Harry Potter fans were let down when only one copy of The tales of Beedle the Bard was offered to readers in last December.
"The new editions will include the tales themselves, translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger, and illustrations by me. It will also have notes by Professor Albus Dumbledore, which appear by generous permission of the Hogwarts Headmaster's Archive," Rowling said, referring to the characters from the Harry Potter series.
Nicholson added: "We are thrilled to publish such an exclusive book. The project will raise money for CHLG work and will help us change the lives of hundreds of thousands of marginalized children."
