Noted director Shaji N Karun’s off-beat Mammootty film Kutty Sranku, which has been ready for release for some time now, will hit the screens on July 23. The film has been screened in major film festivals abroad, but has not been able to get any awards.

Reliance Big Pictures, who has produced the film, says that they are proud to be associated with the film, which has Sri Lankan actress Meena Kumari, Padmapriya and Kamaleene Mukherjee in supporting roles.

Award winning music director, Issac Thomas Kottukapally, has scored the music. The film’s cinematographer is Anjali Shukla, a former assistant of Santosh Sivan.

Shaji N Karun has said: "This is the first time that I have worked with Mammootty, who has come out with a gripping performance. Numerous human emotions and shades are layered in Kutty Sranku."
