I have been successful at web promotion for some times now. Albeit, at times I have been flabbergasted at some of the things that I see. There is a safelist server who will not allow using some email addresses because of bouncing. That seems logical. But most of these email addresses have increased the sizes of their mailboxes by 100 fold as much as 18 months ago. Bouncing email is almost non- existent. This server is not only Years behind, but I believe they have lost thousands of customers being dumb.

I have put together my list of stupid things. I am sure that I will have feedback.

1) No advertising allowed in auto-surf sites. Many persons turn on auto-surf and then go eat breakfast. He failed to read none of the ads that he was to see in exchange for his ad to be seen. Thesir response equals only trash traffic.

2) Don't be afraid to use paid advertising, but only after testing the free portion first. Most ad media will allow you to post and reach 1000 persons for as low as $9, Here are a few ad media that is worth their prices. http://trafficroundup.com/newuser.php?ref=entmind

It is true that many self starter are short on money. Start with free ads and then add paid from your profits from free ads.

3) Develop a marketing target. One of my readers has illegal aliens, sports, and advertising on the same pages. That is poor targeting.

4) Click all links at least twice per month and see if they are working. You would be surprised at how much money that I did not spend because a link did not work.

5) Do Unto Others As You Would Like Someone Treating You. There are too many sites and emails that are one sided- I love me attitude. I wrote an article asking the reader if they would visit their own web site. Spend time asking yourself if you are one these.
