Yes, sources say in order to bring onscreen compatibility, Deepika’s skin tone is being made dark to suit the shade of Rajini. This is being done through ‘performance capturing’ technique and it is being used for the first time in Indian cinema. Deepika from her end has agreed to it and recently she flew to Chennai for the ‘looks’ test.

There is also news that Rajini would be seen doing a three minute ‘Thaandavam’ for the first time which would be enhanced using digital effects. For now, the focus is on bringing Deepika’s fair shade to dark shade to match the complexion of Rajini. Like we said, nothing is impossible for Rajini.
