[REQUEST] HELP ME IN SETUP OF VB 6.0

i need small held frm u all guys,wenever i try to set up VB 6.0 it says in the error message dat ur system is not suitable to run MS-DOS programs and windows applications , can u help me out with dis.I will be very glad to u guys if u reply to it

means is it a CD os download 4m net??

Lets us know how many cd setup you have ?? Which OS you use ?? You Hardware configration ... And above that told Guttu...

HI, guys thanx for replying,now lemme tell u wat is happening wid my set up procedure whenever i tried to set up microsoft visual studio.NET,pressed set up the following message box comes to screen. I am using windows XP and my configurations are 512MB RAM wid 2.0 GHz(pentium 4 32 bit processor).I do not hav windows service pack wid me if u guys are having it plzzzz post the link i will be very thankful to u guys. One more thing i want to tell u is dat i am using windows XP pirated edition.Many times i tried to download the windows XP service pack but i failed :cry: becos it was asking me for the genuine product ID.

Can you try this setup on another pc ?? I think please try this setup another OS first and check that work or not...

If you want Service pack download that from microsoft.com site..

And try to update your windows... Please check below link for that ..

thats a common problem
In ur case Autoexec.nt file is damaged

So what u hav to do is
Start notepad
Copy following in notepad

@echo off
    lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\mscdexnt.exe
    lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\redir
    lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\dosx
    SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3

Copy it exactly therefore i dint say u to type it
then go to
File -> Save As ->
Give the name AUTOEXEC.NT
And in the "Save as type" combo box
select "All files" instead of "Text Documents (*.txt)"

Save it anywhere u want
then copy the file from saved location to
c:\windows\system32

U'll b promted to overwrite the file
say yes

Problem solved

Make sure that the file icon is displayed as default icon
rather than text doc icon

Its a common prob

I do somthings which others dont do
There are some softwares called PIM
Personal information managers or noteskeeper
many jus take alook at these software
crack them and keep aside
OR use them to store the phone numbers birthdates of
girlfriends or their e-mail IDS

I use them well if I am not wrong
whenever I find a problem and its solution
I keep it in that PIM
that helps in solving others problem

I am member of. So forums sre also a source
of knowledge 4 me
