I am a senior manager from a Singapore based
IT compmany and have started a unit of my own in
Tanjore. I felt it appropriate to start my first Software
development Unit on the same soil I belong to...
I am looking for employees who could start work
immediatley on Linux/C++ environment.
Universal Gateway (International) Pte Limited, although is
an establisheed company in Singapore, yet is a small leaf let
on my own effort in India. So we have certain conditions on
employee's here:

1.Can be able to start work immediately in Linux/C++.
Basic understanding in Linux editors(Kdeveloper, GCC compilers).
Basic understanding in Kernel , Shells and Unix Libraries.
Strong undertanding in C++ programming knowledge.

2.Work hard regardless of time.

3.Able to work with a team of 3-4 persons and lead them.

4.Atleast a fair english communication/document writing skills.

5. Willing to work in Singapore after few months.

Our salary and miscellaneous conditions are as follows"


1.Salary is negotiable while the Interview depending on your Linux expertise.
If you have proven to be able your salary would be
increased at the end of second served month.

You would be awarded with a reasonable bonus at the end of
third month, on completion of the project.

2.If your work is sastisfying to the Universal Gateway
(Singapore)management, you would be given an oppurtunity
to work in Singapore, as a System Analyst of this product.

If you are not able to take this offer your can recommend
some of your friends, who are able and willing to take up
this offer.

If you are willing to face an Interview, please write a mail

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

1. Laetitia SMS Engine

Part of Eighth Semester Project , we developed a SMS Server under Linux able to send/receive SMS over GSM Network and was entirely database driven. The information seeker should request for information to the SMS server in the form of SMS and will get the desired response from the SMS server in the form of SMS.
Environment: Linux, C++, termios library.

2. Ethernet DUMeter & Network Bandwidth Analyzer

Part of Seventh Semester Project, we developed the DUMeter and Network Bandwidth Analyzer through which user can monitor the traffic generated with respect to particular system over the LAN and whole traffic over the LAN respectively.
Environment: Linux ,Qt Library, libpcap library,C++, vim

3. Online Computer Portal

This application was developed as a part of Internet Programming Lab.It enables a user to register with the site,assemble the PC of their choice,view the price and make as many changes as he/she desires before saving the configuration.Its entirely database driven and generates suitable pages on the fly.
Environment: Linux, MySQL, CGI/Perl, Kwrite/vim.

4. Simulation of N-Queens Problem

Developed as a part of Internet Programming Lab, we simulated N-Queens
problem using Java primitive graphics with corresponding viewing of the
positions where no two queens can attack each other.
Environment: Windows Xp, Java 2 SDK 1.4.0 .


5. VeriIsle v1.0 – Islander Verification System

Developed as a part of Database Lab, this application was completely database
driven and was aimed for Andaman & Nicobar Islands and offers the features that
can conveniently make the Islander Registration and Verification process simple
and speedy.UI was made in VB 6.0.
Environment: Windows Xp,Oracle 8,Visual Basic 6.0

6. NetNxt – A Web Server running on IPv6 Protocol

This application was developed to demonstrate the potential of IPv6 through a
Web server communicating solely on IPv6 protocol. It also has a log file showing
the entries and status of the server.
Environment: Linux ,Qt library, C++, gcc, Kwrite/vim

7. gEdit – Graphic Editor

This 2D graphic editor written in C language under DOS lets user create and
manipulate images with a simple UI.
Environment: MSDOS, ANSI C, Turbo C++ 3.0

8. Full Screen Text Editor
As a part of fifth semester project, this editor was developed to serve as a full
screen text editor under Linux operating system. Code was written in C++ using
curses library.
Environment: Linux ,ncurses library, gcc ,make


MISCELLANEOUS

· Awarded first prize for ‘Best project’ by the Department in Eighth Semester.

· Was one of the organizers of many seminars in JNNCE.

· One of the first members of JNNCE Linux Users Group (JLUG).
