The Central Board of Secondary Education today failed to put up the ranklist of JEE Main as announced. Though the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) which allots seats to NITs on the basis of JEE Main announced a week back that the ranklist will be published by CBSE on 1st July, CBSE didn't publish the ranklist on 1st July.
When asked at the fag end of the day highly placed sources in CBSE told that they did't commit to publish the result on 1st July itself. Anyhow they are planning to publish it on 2nd or 3rd July. But in the midmight CBSE's official website carried a one liner that the JEE Main ranklist will be available for viewing at 8 am on 2nd July. At 7.45 am this one liner was replaced by another sentence, JEE (Main) 2013 Ranks will be available soon ... That is there still in the site.
When contacted over phone neither the Chairman nor any other official responded over the phone. Nobody knows what happens. It is understood that some litigation is going on against the normalisation process because of which the ranklist is put on hold.
