Besides running or cardio exercises there are other tips to keep one healthy, like:
Quitting smoking,
Avoiding drinking alcohol,
Eating healthy food diet,
Drinking more water,
Avoiding stress and depression.

Yes jogging is the best way to keep mind body and soul healthy.
