The CSS Anthology: 101 Essential Tips, Tricks & Hacks by Rachel Andrew is the best book I have found. I refer to it all the time.

Can anyone suggest some good websites with CSS tutorials? (Rather than the google it and wade through a heap of sites that may or may not offer the solution)

Usually its good practice to try a basic google search before you come to a forum to ask, but in this case I would say to try a forum first. While some may find coding easy and pick it up naturally, others may have difficulty and want documentation and reference aids. One of the things that really annoys me is when people suggest I google something when I ask a broad question.

Its like asking what antivirus is the best, as evidenced by a poll elsewhere on these forums, everyone has their own opinion and google certainly will not have a "correct" answer. When I come to a forum to ask an opinion question, I want the response of those there, most likely because I view them as a reputable source. Google can find you a home to buy, but everyone goes through a realtor. Someone here might have years of experience and know of a book that is brilliant, yet that book will not appear in the top 100 search results. Why would someone want to take a chance on something they might spend years learning or doing only to later find they used something that was second best?

The question was simple enough, if no one has a better reply then there is no need to post.

In conclusion, to be a complete hypocrite and contradict myself, google and look for a one page quick reference guide to supplement a book. I printed several out to use, but can't find them again online, sorry. :D

Try homebrew.bizhat.com's suggestion as well, its the kind of response I would have been looking for had I been you.
