My mother was suffering from thyroid problems since last year. She did take some medication for it but it did not really work. The last few days her neck was swollen and she started to have breathing problem. I brought her to the hospital and it was diagnosed that she has a thyroid goiter in her neck. She was prescribed with synthroid (cytomel t4) to treat that goiter. But mum is a bit reluctant to take that medicine coz the one she has taken before did not ameliorate her health. Has anyone used this medication for any thyroid problems?? Is it effective or not??
