    Default help needed for adjusting graphics in games

    guys a few days back my box was hit by a virus which use to create the EXE file of folder in the folder itself and my task manager was also disabled. however, i recovered it........but know the problem is whenever i try to install any game the game is installed in low screen resolution i.e. 540Xsmthing.......even if i adjust the resolution to be high frm the video options in the game the items inside game remain small.......so pathetically small that sm r rarely visible......what to do?

    Maybe re-install drivers for video card?
