MOBILE USERS KIND ATTENTION PLEASE:
- Do keep your ringer volume on silent or vibration or lowest volume.
- Don't use loud or annoying tones that disturb others.
- Don't leave your cellphone on your desk and walk away from your cubicle, especially if you have a loud ring tone.
- Do walk out to the balcony while talking a personal call. Respect others' privacy — and you certainly don't want an audience while talking.
- Do maintain a distance of at least 10 feet from others while talking.
- Do talk softly. Your cellphone is sophisticated enough to pick up a soft voice.
- Do keep all conversations brief and to the point.
- Don't forget to switch off / put on silent mode when you step into meetings.
- Avoid talking in the lifts..
- Do learn to use voice mail effectively. You can use voice mails to respond to calls at your convenience and to have a life that isn't ruled by a ringing phone.
- Do SMS — it's a great substitute for lengthy conversations.
- Don't give out your cellphone number to all and sundry.
- Use only hands free while driving. If you do not have a hands free, if the conversation is important please pull over to a side and talk.
