The film producers council are contemplating a ban on Nayanthara, reports our sources close to Kollywood. The buzz is that director Lingusamy and his production house Tirupathi Brothers have complained that Nayan refused to star in their forthcoming venture – Payya - after receiving an advance of Rs. 25 lakhs.



But sources close to Nayan point out that the venture failed to take off on the stipulated time mentioned in the contract and Nayan’s call sheet was wasted. The advance amount, as per their claims, is adjusted towards the loss incurred by the actress.

The buzz in Kollywood is that the Producers’ Council may take stern on the actress which could pave way for her ban in the Telugu and Malayalam film industries too.
