Which is the best video format - .mov vs .wmv
wmv (Microsoft support) requires coded embedding or external application streaming. WMV is native to windows so doesn't need an additional download for that platform (depending on the WMV media version).
Quicktime is more accessable on multiple platforms and is automatically embedded into the browser on download. WMV tends to compress better, but with new H264 format in Quicktime it's becoming less of a problem.
Quicktime is much easier to use, whereas WMV requires a bit of fiddling to get a decent quality vs compression ratio.
A lot of people perceive Quicktime to be better (not necessarily the case).
In my opinion, MOV is the best and the popular video format. What do you feel?
