Jayam Ravi along with his dad Editor Mohan and brother M.Raja held a press meet to announce the date of the star’s marriage with Aarthi and a reception on June 7 at Mayor Ramanathan Centre. The family also used the occasion to personally give away invitations to the media .

Ravi in his usual humble way said: “ It is the media that supported me from my debut film till my last release Dhaam Dhoom and my yet-to-be-released Peranmai. After my dad, mom and brother, it is the media who are my big supporters and well-wishers. I want each and every one of you to come and attend my reception with family”.

He also added that the marriage is taking place with the total support of his family. He added: “My family has always given me everything whatever I wanted without asking for it. In the case of Aarthi, I met her and thought that she is the right girl for me. I told my family about this and they totally supported me. I could not have asked for more”.

Editor Mohan and Raja preferred to let Ravi do all the talking. Ravi was brimming with joy and said that Aarthi a graduate from Stella Maris College in Chennai had done her PG from Scotland and is a very nice girl who is perfect match for him. Later he told the press that he had planned to go for honeymoon to Australia but due to the recent problems there, a new destination has to be worked out.
