KANNUR: Superstar Mohanlal, who was made a Lt Colonel of Territorial Army last year, will undergo a two-day post-commission training at the Military Station here next week.

Besides receiving basic training in fire arm use, he would be briefed by senior army officers on how to carry out his duties as "brand ambassador" of Territorial Army, Station Commanding Officer Lt Colonel Davidson Koloth told reporters.

"Joining of an artist of Mohanlal's stature would definitely attract youth to the Territorial Army. He would be spreading the message to all sections of the people," he said.

The training will be held on March 26 and 27.

Mohanlal was made Lt Colonel of the Territorial Army on July 4 and had undergone pre-commission training before conferment of the rank.

The actor would be participating in a ceremonial march past in the town on March 27.
