    Default mIRC v6.15

    mIRC v6.15

    8)

mIRC is a shareware IRC client for Windows. It is developed and copyrighted by Khaled Mardam-Bey. mIRC is a highly configurable IRC client with all the goodies other clients on UNIX, Macintosh and even on windows offer, combined with a *nice* and clean user interface. mIRC offers full color text lines, DCC File Send and Get capabilities, programmable aliases, a remote commands and events handler, place sensitive popup menu's, a great Switchbar, World Wide Web and sound support, and... a lot more. mIRC is shareware but not crippled in any way...

    Application:

    Code:
    http://www.ircadmin.net/mirc/mirc615.exe

I EXTREMEMLY RECOMMEND this software, especially if you are part of or know of an IRC channel you want to be part of. I stuck on 6.10, but 6.16 is out right now, so go get it.

If you have any question regarding configuration, just ask.

I extremely recommand users to drop this buggy software.
mIRC is old, outdated, and closed-source.

    You should use XChat instead.

Listen, mIRC is one of the worst IRC client.
Ask all IRC advanced users (that is to say, not kids discovering IRC with mIRC).
For example, most IRC scripts are written in Perl. And mIRC doesn't understand this language...

theres a big differance between stealing a car and using a website to get info to crack programs..

there are thousands of scripts made for mirc.. hundreds of sites dedicated to providing scripts for mirc..

    you are really against mIRC

"ask all IRC advanced users" -- im sure allot of them use mIRC

anyhow what irc clients do you reccomend and why?

In both cases you steal money, just because you're egocentric

there are millions of scripts made for IRC clients, which doesn't work with mIRC
"ask all IRC advanced users" -- im sure allot of them use mIRC
