The film titled Manjupoloru Penkutty is a bold move to patronise films with an all-new star cast and young theme. This time Kamal does not depend on college campus but the story is about the friendship between a 15-year old boy and 14-year old girl studying in a same school.

The new boy introduced with this film is Jayakrishnan who was the Kalaprathibha in school youth festival and the new girl is Amritha, a Mumbaite who has featured in the Poppy umbrella advertisements.

The cast also has Vigesh, Bhanupriya, Lalu Alex and Suresh Krishna.
