Labour India Gurukulam Junior College & Public School
Labour India Gurukulam Public School and Junior College is a coeducational residential school offering a challenging curriculum and an enriching learning experience from Pre-Kindergarten through Junior College. We equip children with the tools to master rigorous academic challenges including math, science, languages, literature and social sciences, and our global focus helps them tackle broader challenges beyond the textbook. They learn individual integrity as they develop the skills to deal with life experiences. Our system integrates an active sports schedule, community service and programs apart from academics and other co-curricular activities - for study and for fun.
Labour India Gurukulam Public School and Junior College was founded by Mr. V. J. George Kulangara on 4th June 1993 in his hometown Marangattupilly in Kottayam, Kerala, India. It was in pursuit of his vision for a school that would mean a significant difference to the future of the world.
The School is owned by the registered Labour India Educational Society, Marangattupilly, Kottayam and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi.
We adopt the most modern methods of teaching and lay equal emphasis on the values and traditions of ‘The Gurukulam System’ an ancient Indian system of learning that focuses on the overall development of children. Gurukulam allows the teacher and student to be in harmony, enabling a self-learning process with a medium for constant interaction with each other. Our teachers have been trained to act as facilitators to help young people develop responsibility, self confidence, self discipline and a commitment to themselves, their family and to their community.
The school motto: “Together We Labour, Together We Learn†appropriately sums up our commitment to the cause of education and its resultant labour. Reason again, why we have emerged as one of the premier institutions in the Country today.
