Director Selvaraghavan has announced his marriage to Gitanjali Raman daughter of Advocate General P S Raman. He has directed many films including Kadhal Kondein, 7 G Rainbow Colony and Aayirathil Oruvan. While directing the film Kadhal Kondein, he fell in love with Sonia Agarwal who was doing the female lead role in that film. Both of them got married in the year 2006. After two years, this marriage ended in divorce. At this point of time, there was news that he is in love with Geethanjali. Selvaraghavan himself has accepted this.

Selvaraghavan while speaking about this said, “Now I am directing a film titled Irandam Ulagam. Geethanjali is working as an assistant to me in this film. This is the angel who has come to revive my life. In the recent times, I have been facing lots of problems and sufferings. Geethanjali is the one who gave me solace. Now I have surrendered to her because of her love. She has transformed me as a perfect man. Our engagement will be in February and marriage in June.
