The rumour mills in Kerala are abuzz with rumours on the hot and happening actress Meera Jasmine’s marriage to a producer.

The respected film magazine `Vellinakshatram` has carried a cover story in its latest issue about Meera’s alleged marriage. About three months back the muck-raking magazine `Crime` had published a story on Meera’s alleged closeness to Aryadan Shoukath, producer of her art film Padom Onnu Oru Vilapam.



The film directed by T.V.Chandran was an offbeat art film in which Meera acted almost free at a time when Tamil producers were willing to give her Rs 20 lakhs and more! The petite actress had struck a “relationship” with Shoukath who had even promised to get her a National Award for her stunning performance in the film.

Aryadan Shoukath, a businessman is the son of former Minister Aryadan Mohammed the Congress (I) strongman close to Kerala Chief Minister A.K.Antony. Shaukath had denied his closeness to Meera, while reacting to the gossips at that time.

Meanwhile Meera is shooting for her mentor, philosopher and guide Lohithadas’ Chakram in Pollachi. When contacted, Meera said: “My detractors are trying to spread all sorts of rumours right from the time I entered the industry. I have not even slept for the past one month, busy shooting for five films in Tamil and Malayalam. Then where do I have the time to get married?”
