Muslim Students Federation for PSC appointments in aided schools, colleges
Muslim Students Federation (MSF), the student wing of the Indian Union Muslim League, the second largest constituent in the ruling United Democratic Front in Kerala, today favoured appointments by the Public Service Commission (PSC) in aided schools and colleges in the State.
Talking to newspersons here, MSF president P K Feroze said the organisation in a resolution adopted at its State Committee meet held here yesterday urged the government to take necessary steps to this direction to ensure fair play as presently ''main criteria for appointments in the sector is money.'' Appointments by the government run agency would halt acceptance of lakhs of rupees for the purpose by the aided school and college managements in the State, the resolution said.
The meet also wanted the government to grant leave to those aided school and colleges staff members if elected to the State Assembly or local bodies in the State, he said.
Accusing the aided educational institution management for sabotaging community quota for admissions in plus one (11th standard), he threatened to move the court as it was a clear violation of reservation policy.
