Publishing Business

I would like to start a book publishing business. I would like to gain teh reputation as a small press who publishes no more than 5 titles per year. I'd like to make back costs at the very least, and at the most, just make a small profit as extra change (and publish some of my own novels too :lol:

How does one go about starting a small publishing company? What vendors do I use? what is the scope of such a thing?
