Two films old in Bollywood, 24 year old Shazahn Padamsee is slowly but steadily understanding rules of the games here. However, despite the filmy trappings that she is finding herself in, she can’t bring herself up to the age old adage that female colleagues in Bollywood can’t be friends. Discounting the theory and declaring that it is absolutely possible for actresses to be friends with each other, despite a ‘house full’ setting where there were three more females to contend with, Shazahn reveals that all was always well between the women.
“Everybody who knows me is aware of the fact that I am a very transparent person. Now that comes naturally to me because obvoiusly I don’t know anything better”, giggles Shazahn who has been earlier seen in ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’ and ‘Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year’, “I don’t come from filmy background and really, I don’t even have a bitchy side to me. Now obviously that is disappointing for many out there who are hunting for constant scoops and scandals.”
No wonder, she was considered as the kid of the gang when she stepped into the ‘Dirty Dozen’ setting of Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Housefull 2′. Youngest of the lot and the one whom everyone was very fond of and wanted to protect, she also found herself in the good books of Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez and Zarine Khan.
“Four of us got along wonderfully from Day One”, says Shazahn in an earnest tone, “We girls would make one group and chat as if we knew each other for the longest possible time. In fact even till date we are in touch with each other on BBM. Agar koyi soch raha hai ki hamare beech mein catfight hui hogi toh aisa kucch bhi nahi hua tha. We have been friends.”
With music by Sajid-Wajid, ‘Housefull 2′ boasts of a huge cast comprising of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shreyas Talpade and Shazahn Padamsee along with veterans like Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor with Chunkey Pandey and Johny Lever adding on to the comic fun. The film releases all over in the same weekend when IPL 5 kick-starts.
