The rescheduled CUSAT CAT for admission to BTech, BBA LL.B (Hons.), MA Hindi, MA Applied Economics courses will be held on June 10 in Kerala. The decision was taken by the CAT monitoring committee which met in the varsity today. Candidates can use the already downloaded Admit Card for the common admission test. There is no change in the time schedule. If there is any change in the already allotted venues, it will be notified in the CUSAT website cusat.ac.in The common admission test was postponed in Kerala due to the state-wide hartal on May 5. Around 15,000 aspirants had registered for the test here. A new question paper is to be prepapred as 13,000 candidates attended the test at all other centres outside the state on the date. The admission procedure is sure to get delayed this time as the results are expected to be announced late.
Meanwhile, the entrance test for admission to Bachelor of Fishery Science (Nautical Science) conducted by Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET) under Cochin University is also scheduled to be held on June 10. As CAT and BFSc(NS) entrance test falls on the same date those candidates who have applied for both exams will have to drop one. Confusion can be cleared if the timings of the exams are adjusted, as CUSAT is the controlling body.

CUSAT CAT-2012 has been going through tough times since the notification was published. The entire registration process was made Online this time so as to follow a tech-friendly approach. However, the last date for application submission was deferred thrice due to technical troubles. The University authorities finally resorted to offline mode for the application submission of BTech and MSc Photonics courses so as to divert web traffic.
