Wayanad ghat road

May 2012 : Trekking down from Lakkidi in Wayanad to Adivaram (Down Hill) over forested ghat road NH 212 (9 hairpin curves, 2 hour).

The 250 km long NH 212 is via Kozhikode - Kalpetta -Sultan Battery- Gundlupet - Mysore - Kollegal. The highway passes through the dense forests of Western Ghats and vehicles are not allowed from 9 pm to 6 am in the Nilgiri Biosphere (Bandipur National Park : Muthanga to Gundlupet).
