Idhu Kathirvelanin Kathal is being directed by Sundarapandiyan director Prabhakaran who has opened up quite recently about the movie. Touted to be a comedy flick rich with sentiments, the movie has recent film fare award winner Udhay, Nayan and Santhanam in the lead cast. The movie has Harris Jeyaraj crooning the music for Udhay's yet again.

The movie is about the unyielding affection between a father and his son, where the son who fears their relationship might go for a toss if he gets married. So his father sets out by asking Santhanam to get Udhay in a web of love, and after infinite attempts, he falls for Nayan. So what prevails in the end forms the plot. Well quite a story to wait indeed.
