i was considering to request for a php support..
just a question though, this is my first php attempt

one of the codes i have with me:

$conn = mysql_connect("localhost", "mysql_user", "mysql_password");

so i was wondering...if i uploaded this page to my account
what would be the localhost?

you would leave localhost there, the computer will auto know to connect to your account, just change your user & pass

Example:

User= abc
Pass= 123

$conn = mysql_connect("localhost", "abc", "123");

i was planning to make a page with loads of words (most like 100 lines of words) i wasnt sure to make them in html or php(get the data out from the database)

does using php + mysql save bandwith as compared to a normal html page?

i have a forum.
& i understand why admin wants to do this.
if 1 person spamming the forum (wif the same word etc.),
just to get more post for ranking,
i would just ban him or her straight away.
