I'm using shareaza and winmx, they're both really great programs.
I've used ares before but it doens't have files bigger than a gig, but it may change soon if people start using it.

I've "heard" that eMule and eDonkey2000 are still running strong. Even though the recent crack-downs on P2P networking has shut down many ed2k link hosted sites, you can actuall search FileDonkey.com within eMule.

Both programs are about the same - interface and everything. It's just basic preference like Pepsi or Coca-Cola.
