Actress Asin is on cloud nine. According to latest Bollywood news, Ashutosh Gowariker has signed the lady for his upcoming film, Khelein Hum Ji Jaan Sey, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan. Interestingly, earlier the role was offered to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Asin reportedly accepted the film without even going through the script as Gowariker’s name was associated with it.

Asin met Ashutosh at his Khar office four days ago. He told her that he was keen to have her on board for his period drama.

“Apparently, Asin refused to even listen to the narration saying that she had full faith in the director. The actress told him that she has seen his previous films and was looking forward to working with him," added the source. Another source confirmed the news, "Yes it is true that Asin is in his film. The formalities will be completed soon."

‘Khelein Hum Ji Jaan Sey’ is based on the Chittagong uprising and Abhishek Bachchan will portray the role of Surjya Das in it.
