    Default Urgent phpBB upload emergeny!

    I was uploading phpBB and....

    It told me that .htaccess is a prohibited file name. Something tells me this file would be importnat to running phpBB, how do I work this???

    PS-Everything else uploaded. This is the only thing that didn't.

    PS-Is this file necessary or can I go without it?

    Ask the admin if this type of file is allowed, because I think there are some restrictions to certain files.

    .htaccess files are not allowed but you will be glad to hear phpBB will run just fine without it.
