Though she has never been one of the frontline actresses in terms of the number of hit films or the number of films that she’s working in, actressLakshmi Rai appears to be working like a busy-bee nowa days.

Despite toiling in the industry for more than five years, Lakshmi Rai hasn’t attained the ‘star’ status but never fails to be away from the news, be it her alleged ‘affair’ with the now-married India’s cricket captain Dhoni or her ‘getting close’ to choreographer-turned-actor Raghava Lawrence!

The fair-complexioned and lanky actress has a couple of films in Tamil in Ajit’s upcoming venture ‘Mangkatha’ (where she plays one of the three heroines along withTrisha) and Lawrence’s ‘Kanchana’ (sequel to his ‘Muni’ which released two years back). Lakshmi, however, is said to be having many films on hand in Malayalam.

It is said that immediately after completing her ‘Mangkatha’ assignment in Bangkok,Lakshmi would start working in her many Malayalam movies including ‘Christian Brothers’, ‘Casanova’ and ‘Yodha-2’.

Really, it’s a strangely appreciable thing to remain busy as an actress despite being not in the top rung of actresses.
