    York Minister Cathedral, UK

    This gothic cathedral in York, England was completed in 1472. The Minster is 158 metre long and each of its three towers are 60 metre high. The choir has an interior height of 31 metre. The Great East Window stained glass in York Minster dates back to the twelfth century is 23 m in height. video

    Durham Cathedral : Located at New Castle, 22 km from London. The Nave, Quire and two Transepts, north and south, were all built between 1093 and 1133. The Galilee Chapel (west) was added in 1175 having tomb of venerable Bede.

    Ely Cathedral

    It is the principal church of the Diocese of Ely, in Cambridgeshire, England. Built during 1083-1375 AD. Cathedral has a number of tombs of Ely Bishops and Lords.

    Length 163.7 m and Height (max) 66 m. Tower height(s) - 66 m (west tower) and 52 m (lantern).

    Chichester Cathedral

    The Cathedral spire is 82 m high. The cathedral has many treasures and artworks, the most precious being two carved reliefs dating from the 12th century and which are of exceptional rarity among English sculpture. The cathedral has paintings, Stained glass windows by Marc Chagall, a number of tombs of Bishops, Roman mosaics etc. There are now five pipe organs of different sizes and styles at Chichester Cathedral. The Cathedral is a nesting place for Peregrine Falcons. Located near Portsmouth in Sussex, England.

    Liverpool Cathedral

    The Cathedral has a length of 188.67 m (world's longest cathedral) and a tower of height 100.8 m and is 50 km from Manchester. The cathedral bells are at 67 m above floor level. It is the highest and heaviest ringing peal in the world. It is of 13 bells weighing 16.5 ton. At 14.5 ton, Great George is the second most massive bell in the British Isles (16.5 t Great Paul at St Paul's Cathedral, London is the heaviest).

    Norwich Anglican Cathedral

    The Cathedral was built during 1096-1145 and is around 200 km from London via Cambridge. The Cathedral has a length of 140 m and a spire of 96 m.

    It is one of the three spired cathedrals of UK in Scotland. Some come to the Cathedral for the music and some for the beauty of the building itself.
