Dilip does the role of Gopinatha Menon in T V Chandran's new film Kathavaseshan. In this film, Dilip acts as an ordinary civil engineer clad in pants and full sleeve shirt. His only relatives are his sister Vishalam and her husband Capt Nair.

The shooting of this film began on July 5 in Thiruvananthapuram. T V Chandran tells the story of India in Dilip's point of view. The film is produced by Dilip and his brother Anoop under the banner of Grand Productions.

"I was so excited after hearing the story written by Chandrettan that I decided to produce the film and agreed to keep aside all other commitments and give priority dates to him".

Tell us something about the character and the story?
The role I am doing has a lot of scope in acting. I hope this film would be discussed by all and is sure to win many accolades. Gopinathan Menon is a chap who has worked in many places under different circumstances. As his education was outside Kerala, he is not that much adjusted to his home town.

Once in a while, he reaches home to see his mother and fiancé Sreedevi. In another visit, he comes to know about Sreedevi's marriage to a Thampuran. Even though he was disturbed at first, later he accepts it. It was at this time, he meets his school mate Janardhanan.

Janardhanan was shocked to see the change in Menon's character. Menon who used to react for everything kept silent in one instance and this takes a new turn in his life. Jyothirmayi plays Dilip's heroine. She enacts the role of Renuka Menon a writer and a journalist. Vijayaraghavan does the role of Janardhanan. The film also has Jagathy Sreekumar, Janardhanan, Shivaji, Tamil actor Pandiaraj among others.
