Audio of the Satyaraj and Karan starrer Irunda Mugam was launched amidst much fanfare and amongst a huge crowd at the Andhra Club in Chennai.

The film is produced by Vaithyalingam Udayar under the Udayar Studios banner and is directed by Arvind Raj of Oomai Vizhigal fame. The heroines present on the occasion included Suhani, touted as the next Namitha and Anika.

A live dance performance of one of the songs was held with dancers showering flower petals on the audience, followed by a screening of three songs of the film. The lyrics have been written by Arvind Raj himself while the music is by Bharadwaj.

The audio was launched by Rama Narayanan and Bhagyaraj in the presence of Parthiban, VC Guhanathan, MS Bhasker, Piraichoodan, AL Azhagappan, Anu Hassan, Kovai Thambi and others. The film’s cast includes Nasser, Ganja Karuppu, MS Bhasker and Livingston.

Said Karan, “I really respect Satyaraj sir who gave me many tips on how to play a politicians role in the film. It was he who first egged me on and inspired me to turn hero earlier in my career. This is the first film in which the real life of politicians is displayed and will be without the standard tata sumos, aruvas, guns and vellai veshti shattai so commonly associated with such films.”

Anu Hassan said, “As soon as I heard the star cast of the film I agreed to act.” Said VC Guhanathan, “I am sure the combo of Arvind Raj and Bharadwaj will not fail.” Said Azhagappan. “When the producer told me he wanted to make films I discouraged him considering the state of filmdom today. But he has gone ahead with courage and put together a good team and come out with a good film.”

Bharadwaj revealed, “A great part of the success of my songs goes to the lyric writers. I was apprehensive in the beginning when I heard Arvind is going to write the lyrics but he was able to give lyrics to any of the tunes I gave him.”

The story revolves around two heroes where Satyaraj plays an IAS officer and Karan, a politician.
