The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations will issue the notification for the first engineering allotment only on Friday (August 5). This is on account of some clarifications that is needed from the Government, said CEE B S Mavoji today. He refused to divulge more details.
Earlier the CEE was scheduled to issue the notification on Thursday.



Along with the engineering first allotment proceedings, the second medical allotment proceedings too will be launched and an exhaustive notification in this regard will be issued on Friday. The notification will detail the option registration and allotment schedule for the engineering and medical courses.



The Higher Education Department had on Wednesday (Aug 3) issued the Government Order (GO) validating the agreement reached etween the State Government and the Kerala Self-Financing Engineering College Management Association (KSFECMA) which represents 75 SF Engineering Colleges in the state, paving the way for admission to the BTech courses of these colleges this year.



The vacant MBBS seats in five Government colleges and the Agriculture, Veterinary, Siddha and Unani seats in Government colleges too will come in the second allotment, the CEE told Mathrubhumi Education on Wednesday evening. Since the private medical colleges are yet to sign an agreement with the government, they will not be considered for the second allotment. BAMS too will not be considered for the second medical allotment, the CEE had said.
