Default How to Make a Papaya Facial Mask

Very popular at spas and resorts is the papaya facial mask. This tropical fruit contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E, plus an enzyme that helps exfoliate and smooth the complexion. Fresh papayas are available at most grocery stores during the warm months. To use one out of season, let it ripen a few days on the kitchen counter before using in a facial mixture.

    Papaya Only
Use papaya alone for this invigorating facial.
Peel and remove the seeds from a ripe papaya.
Chop it into small pieces and blend in a blender or food processor until a very smooth paste is formed.
Apply the facial to cleansed neck and face, but not around the eye area. Wait 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

    Papaya and Oatmeal
Peel, dice and seed two papayas.
Mash the fruit and add 5 tbsp. oatmeal, 2 egg whites and the juice of 1 lime.
    Mix well, incorporating all ingredients.
Pat the mixture onto your clean face and neck, while avoiding the eye area. Wait 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

    Papaya and Honey
Dot the following facial mask over the nose, cheeks and shoulders to help clear blemishes and smooth skin.
Peel and cube one cup of papaya, excluding the seeds.
Mix in a blender or food processor with 1/4 cup honey and 1/4 cup whole almonds. Blend to a smooth consistency.
Put on the facial and let it penetrate your skin for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

    Pumpkin and Papaya
Add pumpkin puree to papaya. Cut a fresh papaya and mash with a fork to produce 2/3 cup without peel or seeds. Try to eliminate most lumps.
Add one can of pumpkin puree, the kind used to make pumpkin pie and one beaten egg. Mix to incorporate the egg well. The facial should be a thick consistency.
Apply with fingertips to cleansed face and neck. Take care to avoid the eye area.
Let set for 10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
