Barrie Osborne was in Chennai yesterday for the FICCI Media and Entertainment Conclave. During his session he said he was mighty impressed with Kamal Haasan which made him sign up a project with him. Kamal said that the project is an inspiration from the innumerable ancient literary works he has read. At the same time, Barrie was questioned whether he had ever thought of adapting Mahabharata or Ramayana in Hollywood. Barrie immediately answered positively and added that many other top Hollywood film makers too had planned to do the adaptations. “We are still eyeing on doing it. But the challenge both the epics can create is what keeping us from making it. But it surely is something we dream of doing,” he said.
