National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Baba Gang Nath Marg, Munirka, New Delhi has invited applications for admission to various Diploma courses through distance learning, which are approved by Distance Education Council, for the session 2013-2014.

For admission to Diploma in Hospital Management (HM) of 1 year duration, the applicant should hold an MBBS / BDS / Bachelor of AYUSH / BSc (Nursing) / MPharma, and must be registered with respective State/ National Council. Candidate with degree from abroad must pass MCI test. Applicant should also have 2 years’ experience in a Govt. / NGO / Private or Corporate Institution as on 15.07.2013. Those with BPharma / Bachelor in Physiotherapy/Occupational therapy, registered with respective State / National Council and having 5 years’ experience in a Govt. / NGO / Private or Corporate Institution as on 15.07.2013 are also eligible to apply.

For the One year Diploma Programme in Health And Family Welfare Management (H& FW), applicant should have an MBBS / BDS / Bachelor of AYUSH / BSc (Nursing) / MPharma , and must be registered with respective State/ National Council. Candidate with degree from abroad must pass MCI test. Applicant should also have 2 years’ experience in a Govt. / NGO / Private or Corporate Institution as on 15.07.2013.

For one year Diploma in Health Promotion, applicant should have a PG in Science, Behavioural Science / Management / Commerce / Accounts which should have been successfully completed and should also have 1 year experience in a Govt. / NGO / Private or Corporate Institution as on 15.07.2013

NIHFW has requested the Distance Education Council to reconsider and fix 'Graduate in any discipline' as the qualification discipline for Diploma in Health Promotion. If the same is approved by DEC, the same will be intimated to the Public through NIHFW Web site.

The Fee for Prospectus is Rs. 200/-. Prospectus can be obtained from Distance learning cell (Room No. 417) by hand or by post sending with a Crossed Postal order/ Bank draft for Rs.200/- taken in favor of the Director, NIHFW, payable at Delhi. The name of the course should be specified while sending the request for prospectus as the prospectus for each course is separate. Prospectus is also available at the web site.

The Fee for each course will be Rs 10,000 /-.

The last date of submission of completed application form is 17th June 2013. Application can also be submitted up to 15th July2013, with late fee of Rs 500/- to be remitted through Demand Draft only.
